Toby Keith’s take on Confederate Monuments

Toby Keith has always told it like it is.  Especially when it comes to politics. Let’s not forget his feud with the Dixie Chick’s a few years ago, after their idiotic remarks about the President George W. Bush.

Well, recently on ABC’s The View he spoke his mind about the controversial trend of removing Confederate monuments.

The Country music singer seems to be against a ruling covering all cities, but feels that it should be left up to the towns and states.

“If they’ve been there a long time, and if the communities are living with it — fine. If they want to vote it out, I think it should be up to the community.”  Says Toby Keith

After this statement.  Co-Host of The View and liberal idiot, Joy Behar, remakred that that the Confederacy were traitors to America, the likes of Benedict Arnold.   She claims the statues represent a treasonous act, as succession was.

“I have to go check into it. I haven’t been up to date on that one.” Said Toby Keith

He should have had us there with him!
The truth is that the succession was no more treason on than with the United States declared independence from England!

We do not agree with Toby Keith’s stance on this issue.  I would give him a pass though, because he was there not to talk about Confederate Statues, but his new album “The Bus Songs.”   Apparently he has collected lots of random songs that he’s written over the years from the tour bus.
